Any registered voter may vote using a vote-by-mail ballot instead of going to the polls on Election Day. To request a vote-by-mail ballot for a single election or to request a vote-by-mail ballot for all elections (permanent vote-by-mail voting), follow the simple process described below

California Vote By Mail Application

Failure to return a Vote by Mail ballot for four consecutive statewide general elections will cause your “permanent Vote by Mail” standing to be canceled, and you would have to vote at your local polling place or reapply for permanent Vote by Mail status. (E.C. 3206)

Vote by Mail and Mail Ballots can be returned via mail or in person at the elections office up to 30 days before Election Day. You may also drop your Vote By Mail ballot off at any polling location in Tulare County on Election Day. For voter convenience there is a 24-hour drop box located outside of the Visalia Government Plaza.
