All volunteers must attend a two (2) hour training class.
Requirements: At least 18 years of age and be a registered voter in Tulare County.
There can be no posters, banners, or t-shirts advertising the group or organization.
Chief, Touchscreen Clerk and Provisional Clerk will need to remain the same person all day. Scheduling time for breaks, lunch and dinner.
Other Clerks not mentioned above can switch out during the day, but at no time is there to be less than two people at any one precinct.
Each precinct can have one high school student. The students must be a junior or senior, at least 16 years old, have a 2.8 GPA or better. They may direct voters to their tables, mark off names on the roster, update the street index or issue ballots to voters.
There is at least one election per year. In the even years there are two. Occasionally there is “a special” election for bond measures, recalls, or to fill vacancies on a board. These “special” elections very in size, and the amount of workers needed.
